We got to take part in an amazing project by Dillon Works for Wizards of the Coast’s Magic the Gathering. We printed a suit of armor of the character Elspeth Tirel and Dillon Works created a beautiful display piece full with wings and lighting effects!
Dillon Works is a design company that creates custom fabrications and amazing displays. Although they do most of their work in-house, they reached out to us to help with creating a sculpture that would be strong enough to withstand the added weight of the large spanning wings and can contain electrical fixtures. That’s were 3D printing comes in!
We printed and primed over 30 parts of Ultem 9085 that they used to construct Elspeth’s armor.
