Last week Kim was invited to attend an exclusive Stratasys Blue Carpet Event with special guest speaker Jay Leno! The showcase, hosted by engineering and additive manufacturing company Aria, included a display of cars with 3D printed components, insights from additive manufacturing industry leaders, and previews of new printers like the Stratasys F3300.
One of the featured machines was the Stratasys H350 SAF printer. 3D Composites has been printing SAF parts for the past two years with fantastic results. Selective absorption fusion (SAF) is a modern additive manufacturing method that combines the technology of powder bed fusion and improved binder jetting. It has become a major competitor to injection molding because of its ability to produce more complex geometries and directly adjust for part variations without the need to create an entirely new tool.
