The Scanify Hits the Market

January 15, 2015

After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the Fuel3D company is finally ready to release their Scanify into the general market.

The Scanify is a handheld 3D scanning device, capable of capturing a high-resolution, full-color model of a scanned object quickly and easily. By simply pointing the device at the desired object, you can produce a computer model in under a second. These models are ideal for use in computer animation and artwork, and can be easily converted for use with a 3D printer.

The great thing about Scanify is how accessible it is making 3D technology. Not only can consumers with relatively little computer skills create sophisticated 3D models, but they can do so on a budget. With a pricetag of $1,490, Scanify is far more affordable than competing products, many of which lack the speed and accuracy of Scanify.

At the moment, products have already been shipped to Kickstarter backers. Pre-orders can be made for the next batch of scanners on the company’s website.
